Duke Law School's Fourth International Conference & Alumni Reunion in Munich, Germany, June 19-22, 2008
This exciting event celebrated the increasingly global nature of the Duke Law community and the legal profession; it also was a wonderful opportunity for Duke Law alumni living abroad -- nearly 10 percent of our graduates live outside the United States -- to meet, reconnect, or network with the school and Duke graduates from the United States.
Our international conferences and reunions have been among the school's most successful, fun, and engaging events. In Munich Jim Cox, Jerome Reichman, and Jim Coleman. Associate Dean Judy Horowitz and Assistant Dean Jennifer Maher reunited with their former students. Dean David Levi enjoyed meeting our internationla alumni and moderated a panel on the challenges of globalization and higher education featuring Duke University President Richard Brodhead. We also had a number of social events and opportunities to enjoy Munich's history and culture.
