The Community Enterprise Clinic works to achieve two, complementary missions both of which have important impacts. First, we provide community-based development organizations and low-wealth entrepreneurs with the high quality legal services that they need to conceive, plan and implement transactions that will improve the quality of life in economically disadvantaged communities. Second, we provide a unique opportunity for Duke Law students to develop the legal skills that are required for the effective practice of business law. The clinic's educational and community service missions are mutually reinforcing and through our work to achieve these goals we create value for our clients, our students and the communities in which we work.
