1Ls: Introduction to Corporate Law

September 18, 2014 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4047

The most successful and fulfilled professionals purposely build their careers upon personal interests, strengths and passions, and the career options within corporate law are vast. As you continue to think about your own professional goals, we invite you to learn more about transactional law from a practitioner's perspective. Panelists include Elisabeth de Fontenay, a former corporate attorney at Ropes & Gray and current Associate Professor at Duke Law, and Geoff Krouse and Jason Martinez, partners specializing in corporate law at Smith Anderson in Raleigh. They will answer your questions and share their views about what it takes to excel as a corporate lawyer. This event is the first in a five-part series focused on careers in corporate law, co-sponsored by The Business Law Society and the Career & Professional Development Center. Lunch will be served.
