Cancer Pro Bono Legal Project Training -- Pt. II

September 27, 2013 • 4:30 PM • Law School 3041

The Office of Public Interest and Pro Bono, the Duke Law Health Law Society, The Duke Cancer Institute, UNC Law Health Law Society and the UNC Cancer Center are collaborating on a project to provide legal assistance to low-income cancer patients. Initially the project will provide "Know Your Rights" education and completion of POA's and Advanced Directives. As the project builds, we plan to explore other areas of legal assistance. Participants will receive an overview of the project, training by nurses and/or social workers on needs directly related to the specifics of working with cancer patients and training by Prof. Allison Rice on the NC General Statues and the process for completing Power of Attorneys and Advanced Directives. Please RSVP to burrucker@law.duke.edu.
