Chicago-land Duke alums are invited to gather for pre-theatre cocktails and the Goodman Theatre's new production of "Race:" Two high-profile lawyers--one black, one white--are called to defend a wealthy white client charged with the rape of an African-American woman, but soon find themselves embroiled in a complex case where blatant prejudice is as disturbing as the evidence at hand.

8:00 p.m.--David Mamet's provocative new play, "Race," at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago. Special Group rate: $52.70 per person (regularly $60.61).
