Panel discussion on Human Rights and Intellectual Property: Mapping the Global Interface. This new book, from Professors Laurence Helfer and Graeme Austin (Melbourne Univ. and Univ. of Victoria of Wellington), analyzes the complex issues involved when human rights claims are often used to counter expansion of intellectual property rights or intellectual property rights are asserted as a fundamental human right. The panelists are Professors Sean Flynn (American Univ. Washington Coll. Of Law), Molly Land (N.Y. Law School), Chidi Oguamanam (Univ. of Ottawa Faculty of Law), Ruth Okediji (Minn. Law School), and Lea Shaver (Hofstra Law School). The event is open to the public and lunch will be served. This event will be webcast.
