Lessons Learned: A Retrospective of the 2008 Financial Crisis

Timothy G. Massad, who is in charge of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), will speak about the government's response to the 2008 financial crisis on the three-year anniversary of the law that created TARP. Massad will discuss how close America came to a second Great Depression, where TARP stands today and what actions the Obama Administration is taking to address the underlying causes of the crisis. He also will discuss current challenges in restoring economic growth and the Administration's actions to promote economic recovery.
