Join us over lunch for a presentation and discussion with Elisa Massimino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Human Rights First, one of the nation's leading human rights advocacy organizations. A national authority on human rights law and policy, Massimino has testified before Congress dozens of times and writes frequently for mainstream publications and specialized journals on human rights issues, including: crimes against humanity; refugee protection; discrimination; and law and security . In May 2008, the influential Washington, D.C. newspaper The Hill named Ms. Massimino one of the top 20 public advocates in the country. As Human Rights First's President and Chief Executive Officer, Massimino provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization and manages its 70 person staff in New York and Washington, D.C.
