Kristina Alayan is the Foreign & International Law Reference Librarian at the Goodson Law Library. She joined the Goodson Law Library in August 2010. She received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2009 and her Master of Library and Information Science with a Certificate in Law Librarianship at the University of Washington in 2010. She graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in German. Ms. Alayan is fluent in both German and French, and proficient in several other languages. Before coming to the Goodson Law Library, she worked at numerous academic libraries, most recently at the Marian Gould Gallagher Law Library at the University of Washington.

Ms. Alayan teaches Research Methods in International, Foreign and Comparative Law, and co-teaches Legal Analysis, Research and Writing to first year law students, as well as to international LLM students. She is active in the American Association of Law Libraries and currently serves on the Academic Law Libraries Public Relations Committee and Continuing Status Committee. She is especially interested in human rights, access to justice, and the intersection of domestic and international law.
