Main Content

Daniel de Faro Adamson, founder and president of The Blue Fund, will speak at Duke Law School on November 13, the latest speaker in the “Practical Politics and the Law” series.  The Blue Fund is a new family of mutual funds that invests solely in companies it identifies as “progressive” in terms of their leadership and corporate political contributions.

Mr. Adamson was formerly a leader in the technology and financial services groups at McKinsey & Company, a strategic consulting firm. A graduate of Yale University and Yale Law School, he has also worked in the Yale University Investments Office and was a senior associate in a New York private Equity Fund, and founded a non-profit for foster children in Connecticut called CHANCE. He is the co-author of The Blue Way, forthcoming from Simon & Schuster.

The student-organized “Practical Politics and the Law” series, offers students insight into the political process from bipartisan perspectives. Previous speakers include Dean Kenneth Starr ’73 of the Pepperdine University School of Law, former Democratic National Committee Chairman Joe Andrew, and Republican political lawyer and strategist Ben Ginsberg. The series is co-sponsored by the Program in Public Law and Duke Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Policy.

The event, in Room 3041, is free and open to the public, and begins at 12:15 p.m. The Law School is located at the corner of Towerview Road and Science Drive on Duke’s West Campus.

This event will be webcast live at http://www.law.duke.edu/webcast/.
