Dean Horowitz visits Taiwan and meets alumni in March 2008
A large gathering of Law School alumni in Taipei met for a wonderful reception and multi-course dinner at the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, March 25. The event also included Dr. Andrew Huang and his wife who have had a long-time association with the Duke Medical Center. Professor Don Horowitz was in Taiwan to deliver several lectures at National Taiwan University sponsored by the Shih Ming-teh Foundation. Dean Judy Horowitz visited law firms where several Duke Law graduates work and spoke on studying law in the U.S. to a full classroom of students at National Taiwan University, where Andrew Jen-Guang Lin (SJD '97) teaches courses in corporate and securities law. Special thanks go to Amy Wen-Yueh Chin (LLM '91) and her colleagues at LCS & Partners for making the arrangements for the alumni event and to all the alumni who joined the dinner. The Taiwanese alumni have an email list. Anyone who would like to be added to the list can contact Amy Chin at amychin@lcs.com.tw or Dean Horowitz at Duke Law.
