Summer Programs
Duke Law offers a series of programs with our faculty in The Hague, online, and here in Durham.
The Duke-Leiden Institute in Global and Transnational Law is a one-month residential program in Leiden and The Hague, the Netherlands, designed for students and young professionals interested in studying international and comparative law. The Institute, which takes place over four weeks in June and July, also provides an excellent foundation for studying law in the United States.
The Summer Institute on Law and Policy offers short courses taught by Duke Law faculty on topics such as constitutional and regulatory law and the legislative process. The Institute is designed for those considering law school or careers in the public sector, professionals working in public policy, and others who are interested in how the law shapes policy and regulation in the United States.
The Summer Institute on Law, Language, and Culture is a preparatory course for foreign students and scholars adapting to U.S. law school. It is a four-week intensive course that will introduce students to common law doctrines, legal writing, legal English, the U.S. legal system, and the law school experience.
