Duke’s Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) assists North Carolina taxpayers with matters pending before the IRS, including collections, audits of income tax returns, and appeals of adverse rulings. One of the School’s four in-house legal clinics, the LITC is staffed by students that conduct client interviews, gather facts and relevant documentation, and research the law to effectively represent clients before the IRS.
