Enthusiasm and self-motivation reflected in Innocence Project Training Weekend
September 27, 2009 – The inaugural Innocence Project Training Weekend, spearheaded by student leaders Kat Shea ’10, Sarah Rutledge ’10, Sharika Richardson ’11, and Natasha Alladina ’11, attracted nearly 80 student volunteers. The event included discussions of wrongful convictions issues and featured presentations by Professors James Coleman and Neil Vidmar, and Center for Criminal Justice and Professional Responsibility Fellow Kimberly Kisabeth.
The event culminated in a 2-hour workshop, for which students gathered in Star Commons to confer with faculty advisors and Innocence Project student leaders about their cases.
