November 13, 2006
Sponsored by the Duke Law Democrats and the Program in Public Law
Newly launched in 2006, the Blue Fund is a mutual fund with a social and political conscience. The Blue Fund invests in companies that both "Act Blue" and "Give Blue." It builds its portfolio on core Democratic values like environmental sustainability, community participation and respect for human rights. And then it goes a step further: investing only in those companies whose political contributions demonstrate a sincere commitment to those values.
Blue Investment Management Founder and CEO Daniel Adamson discusses launching the first socially and politically conscious mutual fund, and the need for politically responsible investing.
