Clerkship Application & Recommendation System

Duke Law School is excited to announce the release of the Clerkship Application & Recommendation System, an internal web application system created to meet the needs of Duke law students, alumni, faculty, and staff. As one of the first law schools to implement an online clerkship application system, Duke’s Career Center hopes C.A.R.S. will simplify and improve the application process, says Gina Manke, the center’s Project and Clerkship Manager. “The clerkship application process is a community effort at the Law School. One of the most beneficial features of C.A.R.S. is that it centralizes all the clerkship information and data for everyone involved,” says Manke. With its innovative features, C.A.R.S. eliminates the need for a third party system, allowing students, alumni, faculty, and staff to submit, review, and track clerkship selections online.

C.A.R.S. is available to Duke Law School students, faculty, and staff through the Career Center homepage or by visiting the https://clerkship.law.duke.edu. A NetID and password are required for login. Alumni and other users without a NetID and password can contact Clerkshipmanager@law.duke.edu to gain access to the system.
