Barbara S. Blackman, Counsel of Record for Petitioner, moots this upcoming case, which is scheduled to be argued before the U.S. Supreme Court on March 23, 2011. At issue is whether a court may consider a juvenile’s age in a Miranda custody analysis in evaluating the totality of the circumstances and determining whether a reasonable person in the juvenile’s position would have felt he was not free to terminate police questioning and leave.
