Students representing two Duke Law pro bono groups spent Nov. 1 at the National Guard Armory in Durham, N.C., serving area veterans as part of the 2011 Bull City Stand Down.

The event provides services such as legal advice and health care for veterans. Volunteers with the Veterans’ Disability Assistance Project (VDAP) and Ambassadors for Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC) provided veterans with legal information, helped conduct client intake, and assisted in a number of legal matters.
