Women Judges' Forum
Please join us this afternoon at 4:30 in the Blue Lounge for the annual Women Judges Forum, an event sponsored by the Office and Board of Public Interest and Pro Bono and the Women Law Students Association (WLSA).
Women judges, including Judges Linda McGee, Wanda Bryant, Marty Geer and Linda Stephens from the NC Court of Appeals and District Court Judges Pat DeVine and Ann McKown, discuss what it is like being a female judge in today's political and legal environment. A wine, water, and cheese reception begins at 4:30 p.m.; then each judge will present her story of the barriers she faced and the encouragements she received in aspiring to her position.Informal questions and discussion will follow.
Co-sponsored by WLSA and the Office of Public Interest and Pro Bono. Student Forum Director is Jennifer Giordano-Coltart.

Hello WLSA!
One of the best events of the year is FINALLY almost here! The Women Judges Forum is an annual event sponsored by WLSA and the Public Interest and Pro Bono Office. Women who are NC State judges are invited to the law school for an informal evening of food and conversation. The event begins with a casual reception, which is followed by a the judges speaking about their lives and careers as women in the law. It is an event that really makes an impression on the students who attend because it provides such a unique opportunity to talk to women judges about their lives. Some comments from past

Judges Linda McGee, Wanda Bryant, and Linda Stevens, from the NC Court of Appeals, and District Court Judges Pat DeVine and Anne McKown will be present. Look for the large posters by the Blue Lounge to read up on these amazing women.
