Kim Bart is the Assistant Dean of Public Interest and Pro Bono, and oversees the programs offered through the Duke Law Office of Public Interest & Pro Bono. Dean Bart serves as a career counselor for students who are interested in pursuing careers in public interest or government service, providing guidance on job search and curricular planning. In addition, Dean Bart administers Duke’s externship program, including Duke in DC, and advises the Public Interest Law Foundation.

Kim Burrucker is the Director of Public Interest and Pro Bono, and manages the Duke Law Pro Bono Project. Kim works with Duke’s many student-led pro bono groups to facilitate opportunities for community pro bono legal service, as well as coordinates student externship placements with North Carolina public defender, district attorney and legal aid offices. Kim also manages the finances of the Office of Public Interest and Pro Bono, and of the Public Interest Law Foundation.

Laura Brockington is the Coordinator of Public Interest and Pro Bono, and administers programming for the office. Laura coordinates the annual Public Interest Retreat, as well as the annual Careers in Public Interest / Public Service symposium. Laura also facilitates CLE programming credit for events put on by Duke faculty and student groups
