Each year, Duke Law School sponsors needy families through Project Share, a program in which we raise money to buy gifts for local families. The Durham Department of Social Services (DSS) matches donors with needy families and gifts are purchased for the adopted families. In addition to toys and books, many recipients are simply hoping for coats and mittens. We need everyone's help to make it a success!
Over the past 10 years, through the donations of faculty, staff, and students we have raised over $35,000, making the holidays brighter for more than 600 disadvantaged residents of the city we share. We raised $2,996 last year, and we hope to raise even more this year.
Here's how to help:
Monetary donations
Donations may be in cash or check and turned in to the Office of Student Affairs, Room 2007. The last day to make donations is Friday, December 7. No amount is too small, and all donations are appreciated. Donations of $50 sponsor 1 person.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
