File Sharing

Duke offers two easy options for sharing files when faculty and students are not in the same place:

  • Sakai (see Resources in the course Sakai site menu)
  • Duke Box (create a course Box folder using Toolkits, which automatically adds your class roster to the folder)

For assistance or training on Sakai or Box, contact Web Services (webupdates@law.duke.edu).

Recording

Panopto is the preferred method of recording a lecture to share with students either individually or as a group:

  • See section below under Accounts and Equipment on how to prepare for your own recordings in Panopto
  • See our instruction sheet for more details.
  • Webcasting Panopto recordings in real time is possible, but is discouraged with Duke's configuration

For further documentation, training, or assistance with Panopto, contact Media Services (media@law.duke.edu).

Call to Action Content

Media Services will be holding hands-on training sessions for Zoom this week Tuesday through Friday 10 – 10:30 am in the Flexible Learning Space, room 3210 in the law library. Learn how to schedule, invite participants, start, stop and record a class session using Zoom. If you bring your laptop you can learn hands-on. For those interested in staying a few minutes longer, we will also set up laptops for recording lectures in Panopto.

We will continue these sessions next week (Monday – Friday, March 16 through 20, 10 – 10:30 am) in the Media Services suite (room 3212). Media Services staff members are also available for one-on-one sessions by appointment.
