Law Alumni Association Board of Directors
Every alumnus/a of the Law School is a member of the Law Alumni Association (LAA). The LAA Board of Directors, its governing body, is working to build a worldwide Duke Law network for alumni and students.
Greetings Alumni!
It my honor and privilege to serve as the President of the Law Alumni Association (LAA) Board of Directors.
Importantly, the LAA Board is here to serve you! We serve you, the over 13,000 alumni of the Law School worldwide, by executing the mission of the Board which is to represent the interests of the alumni population to the Dean and staff of the Law School; advance the work of the Board through volunteer service; and develop our alumni through leadership. We also communicate Duke Law School's activities and priorities to external constituents.
I encourage you to get more involved with the Law School and the LAA by attending alumni events, mentoring students, and by connecting with faculty and fellow alumni. Your active participation enriches the lives of others in our Duke Law community – intellectually, professionally, and socially.
Thank you for being part of this special community and for all that you do – and will do in the future - for Duke Law School.
Sincerely, James
