Employer Receptions & Virtual Events
We can assist in publicizing firm-hosted events throughout the year. Please note that Duke Law School policies ask that employers refrain from hosting recruiting events for the 1L class prior to October 1 each year. Starting September 21, 2026, employers may obtain and utilize the Class of 2029 contact list for direct student outreach. To be added to the list to receive the 1L contact list in September, please fill out this survey. For more information on planning and promotion, please email Susan Anderson.
Speak on a Panel or Sponsor a Student Organization
Employers may contact student organization leaders directly throughout the year to inquire about programming and partnership opportunities. Please review Law School policies for student organization sponsored events here.
1L Blueprint for Success
Blueprint for Success is our largest networking event of the year and is a unique opportunity for law firm representatives to meet the Duke Law Class of 2029 in person in Downtown Durham. The 2026 event will be hosted on Thursday, November 5. As of July 31, all slots for Gold & Silver levels have been filled; employers may continue to register for Bronze level through October 8. Law Firm Table Talks
Our Law Firm Table Talk program offers employers the chance to connect in person with the 1L class at the Law School on select Tuesdays and Fridays in October and November. As of July 13, all slots are currently filled, but interested employers may email Jasminka Vujic to be added to the waitlist.
Law Firm Focus 1L Practice Interviews (Virtual)
Make connections with the 1L class and help them hone their interview skills via our Law Firm Focus practice interview program. All schedules will be hosted virtually via Flo in October 2026. Employer registration is open through September 24. Learn more here.
ESQ Career Symposium
The Business Law Society hosts the Annual ESQ Career Symposium each fall in early October. Employers from law firms and corporations across the country discuss their careers in corporate law and network with students. Contact the BLS officers for more information.
