On Campus Interviews Segment II

Duke Law offers flexible options to suit your organization's recruiting needs. Our OCI Segment II program is 100% preselect and there is no fee to participate. Employers may interview both 2Ls and 3Ls, and may choose to conduct interviews virtually or in person at the Law School.

Recruiting Policies

Please review our Recruiting Policies & Guidelines before registering for Duke Law On Campus Interviews (OCI). By registering for OCI, employers recruiting at Duke Law are agreeing to adhere to these policies.

Employers recruiting at Duke Law should review Duke University's full Non-Discrimination Policy and check the section in your OCI Schedule Request labeled "Duke University School of Law Non-Discriminatory Policy" to affirm your organization's compliance.

Grading of Academic Performance: Duke Law School does not release class rank and uses a slightly modified form of the familiar 4.0 scale.  For more information, please review Duke Law School’s full Grading Policy.

Important Dates for OCI Segment II

Registration opens:

February 21, 2022, 12PM noon ET

Notification of assigned interview OCI date:

Rolling basis beginning February 21, 2022

List of participating employers available to students:

Rolling basis beginning May 5, 2022

Registration deadline (email to inquire about registration after this date):

July 28, 2022, 12PM ET

OCI Segment II student bidding:

August 1 - 11, 2022

OCI Segment II application packets available: 

August 11, 2022, by 1 PM ET

OCI Segment II selections due:

August 15, 2022, by 12 PM ET

OCI Segment II schedules available:

August 18, 2022, by 1 PM ET

OCI Segment II interview dates:

August 24 – September 30, 2022

How to Register

To register for OCI Segment II, please visit the OCI tab in Symplicity to submit a schedule request under the OCI tab, or request a schedule via email.

Program Logistics

Virtual interviews will be conducted via Flo Recruit. You can learn more about Flo Recruit in the Flo Recruit Virtual Interviews Guide. In-peirson interviews will be conducted at the Law School. When registering, please indicate your preference for either virtual or in-person interviews via schedule notes. Additional program logistics will be available in May 2022. Virtual hospitality suites are not available for Virtual OCI Segment II.

Interview Date Assignments

While we cannot guarantee employer interview date preferences for OCI Segment II, we will do our best to accommodate your date and scheduling preferences when possible. If you have special scheduling needs (such as interview time slots better suited to your time zone or a preference to split your interviews over more than one day), please include those in your schedule notes when registering, or email Susan Anderson.

Schedule Fees

There are no fees to participate in OCI Segment II.

OCI Segment II Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be made at least one week prior to your interview date.

Additional 2022 Recruitment Programs:

  • OCI Segment I: Employers preferring earlier interview dates may register for OCI Segment I (August 2-5, 2022). Learn more here.
  • Pre-OCI Resume Collects: Offices wishing to receive early applications, or that are unable to participate in OCI may collect application materials via five Pre-OCI Resume Collect sessions in Symplicity. Employers may choose from the following sessions (each indicates the deadline application date for students, and the date employers receive application materials): June 17, July 1, July 1 [IP only], July 15, and July 29.Learn more here.

  •  “Jobs Postings” tab in Symplicity: Employers preferring later application deadlines for upper level postings (August or later) may post positions under the “Jobs Postings / Resume Collect” tab in Symplicity instead of as a formal Resume Collect under the OCI tab. Learn more here.
