Duke Law School will compete in the 30th Vis Moot (https://www.vismoot.org/) in Vienna, Austria in April 2023. The Vis Moot is the premier global competition of its kind, with hundreds of schools participating from around the world. Students will develop advocacy skills for the resolution of transnational commercial disputes, and network with leading and future practitioners in international arbitration. This year's competition problem will be released on October 7; written memorials will be due on December 8 and January 26; and oral arguments will be held April 1 - 6 in Vienna. A tryout for Duke's team will be held on October 4 and 5, 2022. All JD and JD/LLM students, and those LLM students not yet licensed to practice law, are eligible to compete. Practicing LLMs with Vis experience may apply to act as assistant coaches.
