November 20, 2017 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3043

Fashion trends often involve copying among designers, is that legal? To what extent is a fashion design copyrightable? Please join Professor Jennifer Jenkins and the Fashion Law Society on an exciting adventure exploring the legacy of a recent landmark Supreme Court case: Star Athletica v. Varsity Brands. Professor Jenkins will elaborate, with images and good humor, why this case would or would not make a Halloween costume copyrightable. Chick-fil-A will be served. Sponsored by Fashion Law Society and DBA. For more information, please contact Simona Xu at shimeng.xu@lawnet.duke.edu.
