The Institute for Justice's Bert Gall joins the Federalist Society to speak about the constitutional right of street vendors to operate their businesses free from anti-competitive regulations. Mr. Gall was recently named the "Patron Saint of Food Trucks" by the Wall Street Journal and co-authored "Streets of Dreams" (http://www.ij.org/about/3939) detailing anti-competitive measures street vendors currently face in cities across America. Currently Raleigh and Charlotte vendors are facing such restrictions. Professor Blocher and Chela from the Cirba Chirba food truck will be joining the discussion! We will be serving pizza from Pie Pushers and cupcakes for Valentine's Day from Daisy Cakes(which started as a cupcake truck). Please contact Phil Aubart at pla4@duke.edu for more information.
