As recent IOC Consensus Statement on Prevention of Harassment and Abuse in sports noted "[t]he promotion of safe sport is an urgent task and part of the broader international imperative for good governance in sport." Individuals and organizations including international organizations need to engage in effective leadership using legal tools and strategies for addressing these issues.
