Northern CA: College Sexual Assault - Going Beyond Awareness

Duke Northern California Women's Forum and the Duke Law Club of Northern California invite alumni (across all Duke schools and affinity groups), parents, and their guests to join an important panel conversation about the wide-ranging issues facing both colleges and students when dealing with sexual assault on campus. We will discuss how legislators, government agencies, university officials, non-profit organizations, students, parents, and alumni can help prevent and address college sexual assault and gender violence. Lisa Krieger '77, an award-winning journalist for The San Jose Mercury News and the Bay Area News Group, will moderate the panel featuring: Dr. Elizabeth Hillman '89, President of Mills College, also has conducted extensive research on the history of sexual violence in military organizations and culture; Jessica Ladd, Co-Founder & CEO of Callisto, a non-profit tech company dedicated to creating technology to combat sexual assault and empower survivors; Kamilah Willingham, advocate, writer, speaker, and activist featured in the award-winning documentary The Hunting Ground; Arthur Zeidman J.D.'78, Ret.
