Panel Discussion: Administrative Law and Guns
September 26, 2024 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3037
Join the Duke Center for Firearms Law for a panel discussion regarding the Supreme Court's recent cases involving guns and administrative law. Last term the Court invalidated the ATF rule regarding bump stocks, and this term the Court will consider a challenge to federal regulation of "ghost guns." Duke Law Professors Stuart Benjamin and Maggie Lemos and Georgetown Law Professor Kevin Tobia will discuss these cases, whether the Court is applying special scrutiny to gun-related regulations, and how the demise of Chevron might impact this area of law. The event is sponsored by the Duke Center for Firearms Law. Lunch will be provided. For more information, please contact Taylor Clark at taylor.clark@law.duke.edu.
