Dr. Stuart Altman, Chair of the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission, White House advisor on health care reform, and among the nation's leading health policy experts, will present his commission's efforts to reign in Massachusetts' health care costs. Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick appointed Dr. Altman to chair the Health Policy Commission in 2012. Dr. Altman is also the Sol C. Chaikin Professor of National Health Policy at Brandeis University, is author of "Power, Politics, and Universal Health Care," and was chairman of the Prospective Payment Assessment Commission.
