Seminar on Corporations and International Law

Please join David Ciepley, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Denver, and Joshua Barkan, Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Georgia, for this Sawyer Seminar on Corporations and International Law. Ciepley will make a short presentation on his paper, "Three Corporate Ages and the Dynamics of Western History," and Barkan on "Property and Sovereignty: Political Territoriality and the Corporate Control of Land," followed by an open discussion. These workshops are sponsored by the Mellon Foundation-funded yearlong Sawyer Seminar series on "Corporate Rights and International Law: Past, Present, and Future."
