Street Law - Durham Youth Home Information Session

September 19, 2018 • 12:30 PM • Law School 4055

Please join Street Law to learn more about how to get involved with our work at the Durham Youth Home. It's a great way to be involved in the Durham community while in law school. Duke law students work with kids in juvenile detention, to teach them about the criminal justice system, children's rights, the political system, constitutional issues and much more. The students design interactive lessons for the kids, and we really get to know them and support them. The time commitment is minimal, but it is very fulfilling and a great way to get out of the law school bubble and experience the community. Lunch will be provided (no pizza). Sponsored by the Office of Public Interest & Pro Bono and DBA. For more information, please contact Patrick Butler at patrick.butler@duke.edu or Abbey McNaughton at abbey.mcnaughton@duke.edu.
