Wrongful Conviction Day: Conversation with Professor Garrett Regarding the National Decline in Capital Punishment
October 02, 2018 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3037
Professor Brandon Garrett will discuss his recent book, End of Its Rope: How Killing the Death Penalty Can Revive Criminal Justice. Prof. Garrett will share the stories of high profile death penalty cases, including some that were wrongful convictions, and explain how innocence and other factors have led to the sharp national decline in death sentences - and how that can in turn be the catalyst for criminal justice reform generally. Sponsored by the Innocence Project in honor of Wrongful Conviction Day. For more information, please contact Renata Gomez at rg204@duke.edu.
