Bachelor of Social Work, 1981 summa cum laude, North Carolina State University; J.D., 1985, The University of North Carolina. Ms. Mine practiced law in Durham, North Carolina from 1985 until 1993, concentrating in the areas of employment law and transactions. She joined the staff of the North Carolina State Bar in 1993 as Assistant Executive Director. In this capacity, she is staff counsel to the Ethics Committee, Director of Board of Legal Specialization, Director of Board of Continuing Legal Education, and Director of the Board of Paralegal Certification. From 1995 until 1997, she served as staff counsel to the ad hoc Committee to Review the Rules of Professional Conduct. She also served as staff counsel to the State Bar committee, appointed in 2001 to study and report on the recommendations on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct of the ABA Ethics 2000 Commission. Ms. Mine is also an adjunct professor at Duke University School of Law where she has taught professional responsibility since 2001.
