Megan Lorenzen
Senior Career Counselor

Megan works with law students, especially those interested in private practice, and advises them about legal practice and the importance of strategic professional development. Before joining Duke Law, Megan worked in private practice for two years as an associate at the Los Angeles office of Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, where her practice focused on complex litigation matters and labor and employment law. She subsequently joined the City of Ventura as an assistant city attorney, where she advised the City on a broad variety of issues including bond refinancing, commercial cannabis regulation and taxation, affordable housing issues, and public contracts.  In both of these roles, Megan was heavily involved in law school recruiting and spearheaded initiatives to increase female leadership in the workplace.  Megan received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, and her B.A. in Sociology from American University.
