Dean David F. Levi interviewed David Rubenstein T'70, co-founder and co-CEO of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest private equity firms. Rubenstein co-founded the firm in 1987. Since then, The Carlyle Group has grown into a firm managing $200 billion from 36 offices around the world. Elected to the Duke University Board of Trustees in 2005, he currently serves as chair. He chairs the Executive Committee and is a member of the Subcommittee on Trusteeship. He previously served on the Business and Finance Committee, Academic Affairs Committee, and Institutional Advancement Committee and chaired the Committee on Honorary Degrees. The event, held on February 4, 2014 at Duke Law School, was sponsored by the Program in Public Law.
