Graduation events, including the Law School's Convocation, have been postponed. Duke remains committed to having an in-person celebration of the Class of 2020 on campus at a later date. This page will be updated as information becomes available. Please contact the Office of Student Affairs with questions.

Hotels

Have your family book their hotel rooms as early as possible.

Since the Law School Convocation will end around 7:30 p.m., it is recommended you make your dinner reservations no earlier than 8:00 p.m.

Invitations and announcements

The Law School provides each student with four complimentary invitations to the Law School Convocation (although there is no limit to the number of people who may attend). Invitations are available in the Office of Student Affairs, Room 2007. Custom graduation announcements and class rings may be ordered through Jostens

Class photo

The class photo will be taken on Tuesday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. in Marcy's Garden (rain date: Tuesday, March 31). Smaller group shots will also be taken of JD, International LLM, and LLMLE students. You must wear a dark suit.

Envelope/order forms will be distributed in mail folders. Please fill out the envelope, enclose payment, and bring it to the shoot. Within a month of the shoot, Student Affairs will set up a day and time to distribute the photos. Any photos not picked up at the specified time will be available for pick up in the Office of Student Affairs, Room 2007. To order pictures at a later date, contact Photo Specialties directly at (800) 722-7033.
