These indexes can be searched by author, title, and keyword using the online versions and by author and subject in the print versions. Most of the online versions are updated monthly.
Index to Legal Periodicals covers legal journals published in the U.S. and Commonwealth countries. Available in print, in the subscription databases LexisNexis, Westlaw, and the web. For articles from 1888 to 1980, use the print version or use one of the retrospective databases available.
Legal Resource Index (also known as LegalTrac) indexes journals published in the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, New Zealand and Australia. Available in print (under the title Current Law Index), in the subscription databases LexisNexis, Westlaw, and the web.
Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals is a multilingual index to articles and book reviews published in approximately 492 legal journals worldwide. Available in print, in the subscription database Westlaw (although not with an academic password), and on the web.
