Exploring Private Equity

January 19, 2016 • 3:00 PM • Law School 3043

The Business Law Society invites you to learn from current practitioners about the general structure of a Private Equity deal, the role that lawyers play in these transactions, working with financial institutional investors, and the skill set to develop during law school to prepare for a successful career in the field. The Private Equity Market is one of the fastest growing drivers of the financial industry and at the forefront of major Wall Street transactions, headliner initial public offerings, and fund formations. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Matthew Cook and Ms. Katherine C. Gomer from Fried Frank, D.C. to discuss their practices. Following the panel discussion, students are invited to attend a coffee reception with the panelists on the 3rd Floor Mezzanine. This discussion is part of a series introducing students to the variety of different career paths available under the umbrella of business law. Sponsored by Fried Frank.
