LALSA and WOCC will be hosting Judge Yvonne Rodriguez to help kickoff Latinx Heritage Month and provide students with a overview of her broad range of experiences within the legal field, ranging from private practice to the judiciary. She will also discuss how her identity as a woman of color and as a Latinx individual has shaped her career path. We encourage participation as Judge Rodriguez will open up the floor to take questions from students seeking advice as to their own paths. Judge Yvonne Rodriguez currently serves on the Eighth Court of Appeals in Texas and teaches at the University of Texas in the Criminal Justice Department.
