My District Looks Like What?: A Conversation on Redistricting

March 22, 2016 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3043

We invite you to come hear a wide-ranging discussion about redistricting and its far-reaching effects. This conversation is particularly important as the Supreme Court is dealing with multiple cases involving redistricting issues. During this conversation, the panelists will talk about how race affects redistricting, what can be done to make districts truly representative, the implications of the two cases currently before the Court, and their experiences working on these issues at their respective organizations. Joining the conversation as panelists will be Anita Earls from the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, Leah Aden from the NAACP LDF, and Rep. Larry Hall, the Minority Leader of the NC House of Representatives. The conversation will be moderated by Stella Boswell. Sponsored by the American Constitution Society and the Duke Law Democrats.
