Students Speak-Out

April 09, 2015 • 12:30 PM • Law School 3041

In an effort to address and respond to recent events of racial intolerance on Duke's campus, the Duke Law Community is inviting you to Speak Out. These incidents of racial violence invoke powerful feelings and thoughts in us all. "One Duke Law: Speak Out Against Racial Intolerance" is an opportunity to give voice to those feelings and thoughts in an environment purposed to foster understanding, awareness, and support. Our goal is to build unity, affirm what we believe, define who we are, and move forward by refusing to stay silent. Our conversation will be led by Dr. Mazella Fuller from CAPS, Duke's Counseling and Psychological Services. We hope you will join us in this opportunity to confront racial tolerance and grow alongside your peers, colleagues, and friends. These acts of violence implicate us all and indicate that there is still work to be done; but together, as one, we can truly move forward. Bring your own lunch. Sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs. Lunch will be served. For more information, please contact Seth Pearson at seth.pearson@duke.edu.
