A Survivor Remembers

November 12, 2015 • 5:30 PM • Law School 3043

The Human Rights Law Society is honored to invite Rebecca Hauser, a remarkable woman who was just 22 when she and her family were taken from their home in Greece to Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. After a year of hard labor, she was moved to Bergen-Belsen, where she was liberated in 1945. Mrs. Hauser came to the United States in 1947 and has been volunteering with The Center for Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Education of North Carolina to ensure that her experience and those like hers are never forgotten. A reception will follow on the 3rd Floor Mezzanine. Co-sponsored by HRLS and the International Human Rights Clinic. For more information, please contact Eleni Bakst at eleni.bakst@duke.edu.
