Come listen to two leading scholars of statutory interpretation debate the merits of textualism and the role of nontextual aids such as legislative history. Amy Coney Barrett is a former clerk of the late Justice Antonin Scalia, and she teaches constitutional law at Notre Dame. Margaret Lemos is former clerk of retired Justice John Paul Stevens, and she is a scholar of constitutional law, legal institutions, and procedure at Duke Law School. Curry Point will be served.
