The Clarence W. Walker North Carolina Alcove features primary and secondary legal materials from the state. Primary sources include a set of the North Carolina General Statutes, session laws, North Carolina Register and Administrative Code, official and unofficial court reporters, and Shepard's North Carolina Citations. Secondary sources in the Alcove include North Carolina Lawyers Weekly and Strong's North Carolina Index; other secondary materials on North Carolina law can be found in the General Collection. Legal materials from North Carolina are collected in order to support the curriculum and the needs of the Law School's clinics, the local bar, and the community in researching N.C. law; and to participate with other law libraries in the state in preserving legal materials for North Carolina.
The Alcove is named for alumnus Clarence W. Walker (LL.B. 1955), currently Of Counsel at K&L Gates in Charlotte.
