2007 Public Interest Summer Grants Top $150,000

Forty-three Duke Law School students have reported receiving funding in support of their public interest employment this summer, for a total of $155,410.

These awards include grants from the Burdman/Steckley-Weitzel/Carroll-Simon endowed fellowships, the Public Interest Law Foundation, the Stanback Conservation Internship Program, the North Carolina Bar IOLTA program, Equal Justice Works Summer Corps, and employer stipends. For the first time this year, the awards also include PILF Bar Study grants for graduating students entering public interest employment in the fall.
