Class Schedule Changes for Monday, Feb. 1, 2010

Duke University is open on Monday, but due to the weekend's storm road conditions may still be difficult in many areas. Students, faculty, and staff are urged to be very cautious and to use campus buses for travel if possible.

The following Law School professors have chosen to cancel classes on Monday:

Professor Tom Metzloff, Civil Procedure, 8:25 a.m. -- canceled
Professor John Weistart, Commercial Transactions, 8:55 a.m. -- canceled

Individual professors will communicate directly with students if they choose to cancel classes. Other updates will be posted here as they are received.

    Nelly Wamaitha LLM ’17, an attorney from Kenya, describes herself as a skeptic of foreign aid structures and delivery in Africa. “I don’t think Africa’s problems can be solved with some Herculean effort that Africa does on its own, it’s obviously going to be a cooperative effort,” said Wamaitha, who practiced corporate law in Nairobi and London and studied theology at Oxford University before coming to Duke. “That having been said, the world has really botched up Africa in the past.”
