Allyson Duncan '75 to discuss American "enemy combatants"
Lawyers as Leaders and the Black Law Students Association will present “The Enemy Without,” a talk by Allyson Duncan ’75 on March 17. Duncan will speak about the legal issues facing American citizens who have been designated “enemy combatants” and the need for lawyers to take the lead in discussing legal issues of similar magnitude.
Duncan, who is among President Bush’s potential North Carolina nominees to the Fourth Circuit, is a partner at Kilpatrick Stockton, has worked with the American Bar Association on its resolution concerning enemy combatants and is the president-elect of the North Carolina Bar Association. The program begins at 4 p.m. in Room 3043 with a reception following on the fourth floor loggia.
